Mortgage lenders and brokers may ask you to document these items in your loan application. Instead of the last minute rush to find everything, save time and relax, begin collecting your paperwork now, so you have everything ready to complete your loan application. Save this as a reference to to collect your paperwork!

 

Preliminary Checklist

  Lenders may require you to send this information with your application

? Copy of the last 30 days pay stubs. Borrower and Co-Borrower

? Last 2 years Federal Tax Return (all pages - all schedules). Last 2 years W-2’s / 1099.

? Self Employed include the following; 2 years of personal, partnership, and/or corporate tax returns.

? Year To Date Profit and Loss Statement with current balance.

? Other assets (include a detailed description) this includes vehicles-ground / air / water.

? Copies of the last months bank statements (all accounts) and (all pages).

? Other real estate owned (include address, type, value, income, expense, and lease agreement).

? Retirement fund value (include the most recent statement, all pages).

? Bankruptcy filing and discharge (all pages) if within the last 4 years.

?   Divorce Decree / Settlement Agreement / Property Settlement, if applicable.

? Verification of other income (ie. dividends, alimony, child support, etc.)

? Name, address and phone number of landlord, if renting now / previously within the last 2 years.

? Name and phone number of the human resource department of current / past employers last 2 years.

? Check for credit report and appraisal if applicable.

Additional information required if a Purchase

? Purchase Agreement (fully executed).

? Copy of HUD 1 settlement if there is a sale of previous home.

? Legal description and who to contact if the loan is refinance or FSBO (for sale by owner).

? Copy of canceled earnest check, both front and back , when applicable.

? Name, company and phone number, of the selling agent.

Additional information required if a Refinance

? Copy of the title insurance policy (include the phone number of the Title Company).

? Copy of the survey or plat, if applicable.

? Name, company and phone number of the existing homeowners insurance agent.

? Name, phone number and account number of the current home loan mortgage company.

? Name and phone number of your previous Appraisal and Title Company you wish to use, if not ours.

? Closing attorney name and phone number, if applicable.
